Chinese New Year is the most important celebration in the Chinese Calendar. For the coming New Year—the Year of the Rat—Reebok will join in the celebration with these Pump Omni Lites. Their unique colorway is inspired by the Chinese New Year tradition of giving children “lucky money” in red envelopes. Red symbolizes fire, which according to legend can drive away bad luck. The Chinese year 4706 begins on February 7, 2008. The Reeboks should be out January 1, 2008.
