Every quarter this year New Balance approached one of their world design teams to develop a limited release collection entitled the Super Team 33 (ST33). Using the body of the New Balance 1400 model, the ST33 came first quarter as “Fish” designed by the US team, followed by the “Stingray” collection by way of New Balance Japan, and then the homemade publication inspired “Fanzine” series by the Europe / Middle East / Africa team. Now the reigns have been passed to New Balance Asia-Pacific and the result is the “Elements” collection. The three styles are inspired by the five Asian elements: wood, earth, water, metal and fire. As always with the ST33 collections, the shoes will have a limited release run available at only 33 selected retailers worldwide (see the list—and more pictures—after the jump). $200US and out now.
