Remember when your days were defined by afternoon cartoons and action figurines? Well, sneaker giants Nike and Reebok remember that you remember, and both want to soothe your nostalgia with sneakers inspired by some of your most cherished childhood toys and cartoons.
From Nike we have the G.I. Joe pack, an homage to the iconic post-war action figure that was relaunched into a phenomenon in 1982. The pack is comprised of a camo-styled Air Assault, a water themed Vandal High, and an Air Trainer SC a.k.a Bo Jackson Trainer.
Reebok takes on Voltron, robotic star of the 1980s cartoon “Voltron: Defender of the Universe”. There are five components to the pack, each inspired by Voltron and his many colored appendages. As an added bonus, every sneaker in the pack will come with a lion robot Voltron toy which can be assembled together (see picture after the jump). Collect all five to build a complete Voltron and really get in touch with your 1980s inner child.
Enjoy more of the sneakers after the jump.
