The last time these shoes were available we were in the midst of a Cold War. As part of their ongoing 100th Anniversary Celecbration, Converse is re-releasing the 1983 camo-classic “All Star Camouflage” renamed as the “All Star Army 83 Hi.” The high top is available in Jungle Khaki and Desert Beige. See more pictures after the cut.

Imagine how cool these would have been in 2000. Now imagine how cool these would be if Nike hadn’t turned Converse into an outlet for every single design idea they could come up with. I mean seriously, there are so many versions of this shoe out there, even if one design is good, I can’t help associating it with 50 bad designs. That being said, these might actually be an ok design if you could put them in an ideological vacuum. My favorite part is that these are Converse’s attempt at getting into the retro shoe market. Aren’t Chucks already THE quintessential retro shoe??? My head is spinning, thanks a lot Converse.
